Hall of Fame League
This is Season Ten in the history of the Hall of Fame League, which is the
charter league for Benchwarmer Baseball - beginning play in 2000. The
league is a mix of dominance and parity. Both Boar's Nest and Oaxaca have
dominated their divisions recently - Oaxaca winning four straight titles and
Boar's Nest five. However, the league championship has been scattered
around quite effectively - only the Boar's Nest franchise has grabbed more than
one league title. In 2008, Oaxaca finally broke through with a
championship in their third appearance in the final series. Every
franchise but one - and that's Las Vegas - has a division crown in their
history. Coming into 2009, we have significant turnover, with
4 franchises under new ownership. Russ Dobransky returns to take over what
is now New Fairfield after a 2-year absence. And one season removed from
running Milford (now Oklahoma), Dana Moreau comes back to rebuild Michigan.
Chincoteague Island and Jersey are also under new ownership.
Good Luck!
